Full Version: Recommendations for a "bare bones" PC Software Sampler for live use?

As a band we're changing over from playing samples/synth parts on backing tracks to playing/triggering them live. I have a Korg Microsampler which is great but we also need another sampler for another member to use. He already has both a stable, portable, rackmount PC, a Macbook and an M Audio 49 so we were hoping there was a bit of software out there that stripped things down to the bare essentials, was stable, wasn't processor hungry and would be easy to use live. He's experimented with Ableton 7 so far and found it quite infuriating (we're giving it another go tomorrow along with Reason) hence wondering if there's a simpler solution out there. Any help would be much appreciated as unfortunately our backs our against the wall time-wise
